Greetings,
So I while back I was asking about how to make a tube from a sheet of PETG. I was going to go with the make a cylinder out of layers of wood and heating it around it. But I was wondering if I could bend it to shape and heat it (carefully) in an oven enough to set the shape? Or will it just fail completely?
Its only 0.08" thick and I can make a relatively nice tube just by bending and over lapping it, but want it to hold its shape so I can cut off the extra and glue together and not have a raised seam. I do have a heat gun, but I feel i should have even heating for better results.
What do you think? If you think it might work, what temp should I start at? I only want it to hold its shape
