I was in Target the other day and I noticed a new Nerf gun, the Stryfe. I appears to about the same size as the core of the Recon and whatever the new version is called, plus will accomadate both the Raider collapsible stock and the Longshot barrel extension.
The only reason I bring this up is the singular issue I saw with the otherwise impressive Nerf Pulse Rifle builds was the fact the Recon is a single shot design, and the shroud may impede cocking. A Stampede was an altenative, but the battery compartment detracted from the design somewhat. Seems to me this might be a good option.
