So I have a shield that I have been working with:

I took a disc sled, cut off the edges, put bolts through it for the straps, Rondo on top tried to even out but regrettably it wasnt so even. Primer and an attempt at making concentric circle later, this is what I have. I also ran in to some issues with the surface as well, I tried waxing it and some other things, but it still looks a little battle damaged. Luckly this is what people thought about it, but I am determined to do better. Here is a list of issues I have with it:
Have any thoughts or suggestions?
I don't want to go and buy one of the aluminum spun shields, I would like to eventually create a mold and cast a few of these.
