When I got the Big Chief 1/6th scale Doctor (Um for my daughter) I realized quickly that one important accessory was missing! The Padorica Opens painting from Van Gogh. So, I took the painstaking journey to make one.
I printed from a high res image using a high res HP deskjet printer. Then used a clear coat satin acrylic to seal it. Then used Mod Podge brushstroke to give it a base. Let that dry then came back with more Mod Podge to add the little details, like swirls, etc.
It turned into a pain, but worth it! My daughter thinks 'miniature pandorica opens paintings are cool!'
I made two versions, on a wooden frame like it would be in Vinnie's studio, or cut out of the frame as it would be in River's clammy hands!
I hope you like it.
I took a few beauty shots as well as some close ups to see the brush stroke detail.
