autographed movie posters - authentication process?

I'm scared to buy 27x40" movie posters on eBay that claim to be signed by actors/directors etc because I've heard many are fakes.

Does anyone know of the top one or two companies that can authenticate autographs (signatures) of famous people?

Is this even possible?

I'm willing to send them the actual signed item if necessary.
