Jayne Cobb

Hello all. I am working on a Jayne Cobb costume for the comic-cons here in KC. I have my hat which I had made for me. I am finally starting to put the parts together for Jayne's pistol from firefly. Being the poor paramedic that I am I cannot afford to buy either the model or the replica base gun (LaMat civil war pistol) I making mine completely from scratch and found items. I am using a 1 inch belt sander to make the frame and PVC and other things. I also have a toy I found at walmart that I will turn into vera. Pics to come as soon as I can figure out how.
Does anyone know anyplace to get cheap replica guns that look somewhat real. There are lots of good looking cap guns out there but they are usually too small to be realistic.
