Batman The Dark Knight Rises Broken Cowl Display

After receiving coofunkcurly's awesome broken cowl, I was trying to come up with a cool way to display it. Since it's basically half a cowl, you can't really display it like a normal cowl. After thinking of some ideas, I figured the best way was to just have it laying down. But I didn't want a plain base, I wanted something more interesting. I figured the coolest thing would be to recreate a little section of the steel grate floor from Bane's lair (which I found out Hot Toys did for their Bane figure's base), as you can see in this picture:

So after finding some stats on the size and spacing of the grate, I took some small pieces of wood and some dowels and eventually created this:

And a close up of the logo, which is technically a TDK logo, but the broken logo and cowl go so well together.

I gave it a very rusted look like it had in the movie

There are a few things that didn't come out as good as I hoped for, but I'm pretty happy with it overall.
