My phaser display solution

I found a neat way to display my phasers and it's quick, cheap, & easy. :)

I wanted to mount them on the wall without the distraction of big hardware that is often the problem with this type of display. I've seen people use peg board, slat wall, and grid wall all to good effect but I prefer my displays to be a little simpler. The problem was finding a self tapping mounting solution.

Well I was in the hardware store today and had one of those "why didn't I think of this earlier?" moments!

Door stops.

They come in all shapes and sizes and already have a screw for attaching them to the wall. My phasers are relatively light so I just screwed them into the drywall but you could easily use them with anchors as well. I'll bet you could even get a full metal pulse rifle mounted with three of these.

I just sprayed them all black with Krylon Satin Black:

And presto. My phasers are on the wall cleanly and accessible for play. :happy

Total cost to mount 6 phasers was about $10 and 30 mins of work. :thumbsup
