A budget scratch-build of a Morita carbine rifle from "Starship Troopers" from foamboard and foamie sheet.
I have a production-made rubber stunt version of the fullsize Morita, but I wanted a carbine version. So I took the measurements from the stunt rifle and transferred them to two pieces of foam board, used the cut-off grip from a toy gun, inserted some of the guts from the toy gun into the bullpup stock as a firing mechanism, and glued the whole thing together. Then I cut out all the greeblie panels from foamies and glued them on.

Then I used joint compound to fill in all the gaps before primering and painting:
