New here - I plan on making a kryten costume, help would be welcome

Hi everyone.

I am new to this forum and am planning on making my very first pep costume, which will be Kryten from Red Dwarf.

I have some ideas and thoughts on how to procede, but, could definately do with some help and advice.

Firstly, I am not sure whether to use foam or card and fibreglass, I know the fibreglass method is complicated and takes a lot of time, so, I am considering the foam method after watching some youtube videos.
What are your thoughts on this ?

Secondly, I know that I will need a black pvc style long sleeved shirt and black pvc trousers, I have managed to find suitable trousers on the net, but, not too sure where to get the shirt from, any advice on that front ?

Finally, the last item I know I will struggle with is the chest circle piece, anyone got any suggestions on what I could use to make that ?
