Alright, I have the bug. I am happy to start on my next budget / dollar store build. Some of you may have seen my last budget build : The ARC Reactor
Now that I look back, I realize I have a long way to go. It was so enjoyable though that I decided to make my next build the Flux Capacitor. As we only just purchased a town home, I don't have much in the way of extra room to store nice props. This, and many budget builds that will follow, are a start in the prop world to get my hands wet and fill my garage with.
For this build, I was inspired by the user Knightjar who years ago made a fantastic low budget Flux Capacitor. I found a very similar container to his except smaller. So this build will unfortunately be scaled down just a bit.
So far I have gathered around 75% or so of the materials I need. The pictures are a sneak peek of some of the items I am using. Currently my expense for parts purchased is around $5. I would really like to keep this as close to $15 or under as possible.
Check back for updates, I plan to start the build this evening. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated for a noob who has no knowledge of making the best of LED lights from the dollar store. I have purchased many different set ups ( Flash lights, night lights, ect ) and am not exactly sure how to incorporate them in to the clear tubes I have. I also would invite suggestions on a grey spray paint to get the best finish for the container.
