Hi, there everyone.
I've started this thread to show you all a little project that I have been doing since I finished University earlier this month.
Well, firstly. Kick-Ass 2 is coming out next month in August. I've always wanted to have a go at making Dave's batons that he regularly uses when he's out on patrol in combat, but I wanted to make something exactly the way the film production company made them.
Right, so here's the page where I found the used batons in the film, I was going to post them on here but I've seen people moan about their work being published for reference purposes even if they've been credited and even had a link to their other work etc. Nevertheless, here's the website:
Kick-Asss (Aaron Johnson) Batons Display
If you look closely at the photographs, you can see in detail how they've been created and etc. I took a bit time in researching on what exact stuff they used to create them. So after a week shopping on eBay and pottering about DIY shops, I was ready to go and make them and lo and behold, here they are:

Note: The lighting in this room makes the batons look much more lighter coloured than they actually are. They're a much darker green than it's shown to be.
I'm making three more pairs, this time using black bar tape. For a more dark green effect.
Here's the Junkyard Version of this post. http://www.therpf.com/f13/kick-ass-movie-batons-191397/
Anyway, thanks and hope to hear from some of you!
