My Chemical Romance Raygun

So, a few years ago the band "My Chemical Romance" released two music videos depicting California in the year 2019...each member of the band played their own character in a group called the Killjoys.

In the video's, the frontman of the band (Gerard Way) sported a yellow Raygun. I have always loved the design of the prop quite a lot. They did release an official version a few years back, but they were poorly made. So I thought I would try it for myself.

I started out with a blueprint I found on Google Images. This way taped to a piece of 1/2 inch MDF and cut out on my scroll saw.



The trigger hole ( I know nothing about guns, excuse my terminology ) was cut out with a hole saw.





There are raised panels on the side....these were cut out of styrene, and glued to the body.








All the white panels here are styrene sheet. The small coloured bumps are scrap booking accessories.
