I finally finished a few mods I did to my 11th Doctor CO Sonic Screwdriver.
First one was adding a piece of cardboard on the top the claws section so that once closed the claws actually close tighter, before there was a bigger gap.

The second mod was in order to make it so that the sounds come on automatically once extended and stopped when you press the red button on the bottom. I also ended up repainting the copper due to paint wear from the claws.
When you dismantle the top section you will see 2 holes which go all the way through. I used a cut down nail and glued it through the bottom hole, I grinded the head slightly as well so that it stayed flush. This makes it so that it doesn't extend as far by about 6mm at a guess but it's just enough so that the second trigger button inside gets pushed. I think that extending slightly less is a decent trade in order for the sounds to come on their own.
