I purchased this set of licensed Buffy rings about 2 years ago. These have never been worn, only handled a little bit and then put back in the box they came in. This is what they looked like when I bought them:

I opened them up for the first time in 2 years today and took these 2 photos, one with the camera flash on, one with it off:

The manufacturer information states that these were 'silver plated' when new. I assume this is just very cheap plating that the oils from my fingers ate through?
My questions are:
1) Can these be re-plated with something that I can expect to last long-term?
2) Can these be sized up or down very slightly without ruining them?
Any jewelers in the house that can answer my questions or take this on? Cost? Thanks in advance!! :)
