Greetings,
I am building a costume of Ezio Auditore from Assassin's creed, The Armor of Altair(AoA). It is the best armor in the game, and certainly looks kickass. The parts i am currently concerned are the chest plate and pauldron. Here is a reference photo. The pauldron is the shoulder armor over his left shoulder.

For the Pauldron, I am planning on making 3mm MDF panels in the shape of the segments in the photo, and covering them with black cloth and a little wire for stiffness. Would this work out well or not?
For the chest plate, I am considering using 2mm PVC sheets. I know for a fact that PVC can be heat bent along 1 axis, but I have yet to try to bend it along 2 axises. Can PVC be manipulated into a complex curve? The armor is both slightly bulging and curved around the ribcage, so a complex curve would be needed. Also, I have heard that hot water can be used to quickly soften sintra for bending. Would this work out well? Obviously, fumes are not healthy, not would the vessel after heating the PVC, but would the technique work?
After I heat bend the PVC, I plan to use epoxy resin and thick cotton sheets to reinforce the back of it for strength, and use rivets to attach it to the shirt.
Will my ideas work out? Are there any people experienced with this type of work? Any help is appreciated.
Thank you for reading.
