Hi everyone,
I'm trying to wrap my head around LED strips, Arduino and servo motors...and it's all a little bit overwhelming for a complete newbie. I was hoping some of you might be able to help clear up some questions I had.
My (first) goal is to create a somewhat similar lighting sequence to Volpin's gravity gun
From what I understand, to do this with an LED strip I would need an individually addressable LED strip. My issue is those are kind of pricey for the quantity I would need for my finished product. But, in this video here this guy is controlling an RGB strip in sections of 3 LEDs
Controlling sections of 3 LEDs would work fine for my application. So my question is, are there cheaper LED strips out there that I would be able to do this with? Do you have any ideas how I can identify them?
I have this specific strip at home; if I hooked it up to an arduino board, would I be able to achieve similar results?
Thanks in advance.
