Like the title says im finally finished my pulse rifle! Its been three years since I started the build and im very happy with the results. I began the build with a box of parts from a fellow member here and this is the final result. The rifle went through a lot of changes to get to this point, but after a lot of cursing, obsessing and one trip to the eye doctor to remove metal from my eye I have a Pulse Rifle!
I built the rifle around a CYMA Thompson which is still fully functional just waiting for a new battery. The shrouds, grenade launcher, front block and counter all came from Matsuo. The barrel vent and stock I made myself from 16 gauge steel. The counter lights up when the mag is inserted and can be turned off with a switch. The Grenade launcher is a HCG which I customized with a spring loaded metal trigger and a metal front block. I used copper pipe for the barrels inside the launcher. The lower barrel is where im going to put the new stick battery when I get it.
I first painted the shrouds with dull aluminum then used rustoleum ultra flat olive. I know its not screen accurate but its how it looked to me in 1986 when I saw Aliens in the theater. I then went about weathering it. Im very happy with the results. I want to thank all the people who helped me with the creation of this awesome movie prop.Let me know what you all think
