Hello folks!
Well, I'm facing a hard decision to make. I already have my lightsaber collection, as some of you here have seen, but my favorite lightsaber has always been Luke's ROTJ hero version. I don't know why, I just love that one more than all the others. Now, I already have the cast-in-resin version produced by eFx, but still I want (and need to a certain point) a metallic prop. I've seen many options to buy, and my two finalists are:
- eFx reveal
- an alluminum prop made by member Nicksdad
What I like about the eFx reveal is that it's licensed by Lucasfilm (probably one of the last licensed now, since it was sold to Disney today). What I don't like about it is that it isn't too accurate. Colors are not exact, and arrows and screws in the control box are not accurate as well.
The one offered by Nicksdad is amazing in that it is made of alluminum (accurate color, different from one made of steel), and the shape of it is pretty much like the original prop. And given that it has to be painted, I can replicate the exact colors of the original one. The bad side, it isn't licensed (I never cared about that until today that I heard that Lucasfilm was sold, so now we gotta treasure our licensed props!).
Anyway, which one would you pick? (I know many of you will say that I should go for the Master Replicas version, but I don't like that one. It's too perfect to look like a real thing.)
