Hello all, I would just like to start off by introducing myself and showing a few pieces that I produce.
I'm Jay and I am a prop enthusiast and manufacture under Red Aeternum Productions NorthWest. I have done a few reproduction masks in the past (Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees under, Slipknot, etc) and some LOTR pieces as well.
I took on a few other pieces over time, one of them being Harvey Dent's Two Face coin. I was looking into producing this piece after seeing the poor quality pieces that were readily available on the market. I came across everything from resin cast, plastic and even pewter copies. None of which ever felt or looked right.
Now, I won't go into detail on how production works on this coin, because well...that's a trade secret. But what I can tell you is this:
-My coin weighs in at a hefty 26.5 grams, while a real Peace Dollar weighs in at 26.7 grams (most copies I have run into weigh 16 grams, IF that!)
-I have modeled my pieces on a mixture between the Comic Con display piece, HD movie stills and my own signature flair.
-"COPY" is not stamped into the face of the coin (ah-hem, Noble Collection).
-No paint is used to create a charred effect (most copies I have encountered).
-Hand crafted for the best effects....NOT cast from a mold that looks generic and unnatural to the real piece.
I do sell these, but I am not promoting or selling them here (as per the forum rules). What I will do though is share a few photos and whet your appetite.
