James Bond From Russia with Love: Modern Case Conversion

Hello All!

I am a new member to the RPF, but I have been watching and reading on here for a while. I am a huge James Bond fan, and I have decided to share some progress with you guys.

I have wanted a working FRWL Case, that I could actually use for a while. (Maybe needing to leave the knife a home) I know of the SD studios case but due to cost and it being a collectors item, it was an impossibility. I know Quartermaster props is making one as well, that is 100 percent accurate, and I am watching his progress and hope to buy one.

However I decided that the accuracy of the movie used version did not really matter to me, I just wanted a case which had the same functions and decided I would do a modern case conversion. Meaning a new modern knife, different bullets in the ammo tubes (maybe bb's). I just want to stress, this is case is ANYTHING BUT SCREEN ACCURATE. But I started working on a case which would have the same features, as I have not actually seen a completed case conversion.

My case will include:

Spring ejecting ammo tubes, with bullets in one and bb's in the other

A spring ejecting throwing knife (Modern knife, different button location)

Straps which pull out and have 10 (either loonies (canadian) or transit tokens) in either side

A magnetized top for the talcum can to stick too (Being bought from thespyboys)

a red felt interior

and some kind of folding rifle.

I want to work on MAYBE:

Catches which rotate

I will also put a voice recorder into the case, a document reader, and various other spy goodies.

This has been a LOADED project and of course I was naive going into it. But I will complete the case, I have everything which is need, and will post a video of the finished product.

I have finished working ammo tubes, the knife system, the felt, and am working on the straps which pull out, and catches, and smoothing it all out.

The case is 70 percent finished.

Here are some pictures I took over the course of the project so far.

Youll notice the knife switch is a little more noticeable, but there is another stud on the other side (dummy stud) to make it look like a design choice.

Hope you enjoy!
