Well most stuff I have made has be for my son and his Halloween ideas. Made to look good for one night in the dark, and to horse around the house with. So what I have made and currently making is not as good as some of the stuff on here, I'm learning :D
This year for Christmas I decided to make him Hellboy's Samaritan. I also decided to make it full size and not scaled down like some of the other things I have made for him in the past.

First step I hunted down all the images I could find of the Samaritan (which led me here) and started making up some templates.
After doing that realized there was going to be more cutting than I wanted to do with a coping saw, so went to Harbor Freight and picked up a very cheap scroll saw. Which I had to fix with in the first hour of use.
Couple hours setting in front of the saw, and fixing it, I had a stack of stuff to laminate together.

With the center most section glued up I worked up the grip. This was after the first round of shaping. Waiting till I have the lower completed to finish it.

Then tried to make the cylinder, didn't go well. First try it rolled in the vise. Second I held it tighter but when I got the 3rd hole in it blew out. Maybe the 3rd time will be the charm.

So while rethinking the cylinder, I moved to gluing up the upper.
