The long wait for The Hand Of God ("3:10 To Yuma")

To make a long story short, my favorite movie gun is "3:10 To Yuma"'s The Hand Of God. It's one of my favorite movies, and the gun basically symbolizes Ben Wade's subtle but dramatic awakening throughout the movie.

I wanted a real Colt for what would become my replica. (After a wait, they're not that easy to get brand new.) When I first got it in January it looked like this;

I loved it, but as it turned out, the gun was actually made in 2007. Since I'm definitely the first owner, it's a bit of a mystery where it had been sitting, but it did take a little wear, and had a few issues that needed to be addressed by Colt. So back to them it went, for over six months.

In October it came back looking like this;

It had a complete refinish while at Colt. I like this case-hardening better.

After having it only a week or so I sent it to Joe Perkins of Outlaw Grips. On 12/21 (no that's not a joke, for me, The Hand Of God came on 12/21.) it came back looking like this; (as well as having a complete action job and custom springs installed.)

Needless to say, I'm quite happy.
