I have a large animatronic costume built with a steel skeleton and foam latex skin.
There's a few rips in the foam that I need repaired. I may be able to do that myself using goop and liquid latex (thanks to info i was able to find here) but recently there has also been some mechanical failures as well.
Since the costume was built seamless, now I am contemplating cutting the costume down it's length and trying to goop a zipper along it so that the skin will be removable to make repairs.
Anyway, I cannot post pictures openly or give more details unfortunately but if there's anyone in the area that actually works on these types of items for a living and is available to look at it, I would love to get a professional opinion and possibly hire you to do some repairs.
I need it up and running by early January for a tentative event, so this is somewhat time sensitive.
Happy Holidays!
