Zefram Cochrane Statue for the cheap and untalented.

So I was rewatching through Enterprise a while ago and noticed the Zefram Cochrane statue on Capt. Archer's shelf and figured that would be pretty neat to have since Cochrane is my favorite character. Of course knowing full well that I'd never be able to afford it or the reproductions, I gave myself a sad looking over the auctions and stuff anyway.

But then I figured that perhaps I could do what Doug Drexler and sculpt the thing from scratch... until I remembered that I had never sculpted anything in my life. Thus I resigned myself to never being able to get one.

Then in struck me, I searched Amazon and found this for less than €1:

(It actually cost €20 to get shipped here.)

After some shenanigans caused by me sending it to an old address I finally got it and put it on the pile of stuff I wanted to build first. And now that they are out of the way and April 5th is coming up soon it's time to get started.

The plan is to tweak the figure into the correct pose, fill in the action figure seams and paint it bronze.

Luckily it's not that far off and the only stuff I need to do it is cut the left forearm and lower leg, as well as the fingers on the right hand. The other thing is that on the prop his sleeves are rolled up, so I might have to file down the sleeves on the figure and hope i don't mess it up.

Besides those I need to make the scrolls and the stand from scratch and am still unsure exactly what I'm going to do there.

This is my first build that isn't a kit and first time posting one here, so any ideas, tips or comments are appreciated.
