Geordi's Engineering PADD (Season 7 Version)

Well, after kertratz posted this thread --> http://www.therpf.com/f45/star-trek-...photos-198670/ in which he discussed a couple screen-used TNG PADDs that recently sold on eBay, I went about doing up a quick technical drawing of Geordi's Engineering PADD as was used in Season 7:

Here's my technical drawing alongside the screen-used original for comparison:

I drew mine up based on the pics taken from the ended eBay auction, as well as the screencaps that posted in kertratz's thread. I think I got it pretty close, but am waiting on kertratz receiving the screen-used original to find out whether or not I have the dimensions for the screen and button areas correct.

Looking at all the reference pics I now have of this piece, I figure the PADD is the standard 4x6 with the bottom right corner cut out and two protrusions added to the left-hand side. It doesn't look to be as thick as the typical 4x6 PADDs, so I made the core out of 1/4" PVC board with 1/16" sheet styrene applied to the front and back to give the recessed sections on both sides.

Then, over the course of the last few days, while doing a bit more work on my "Widescreen" TNG PADD (seen in the Season 4 episode "Qpid"), I managed to get the base parts together and gradually got it to the end result:

Next are a couple pics comparing mine to the screen-used original:

Like my Neelix PADD, I got it pretty darn close, if I do say so myself.

Also like my Neelix PADD, the plan is to eventually mold/cast it to make available to others here. That is, when I have some disposable income to gather the supplies I need for that.

Anyone have any idea of what the base colours for the screen-used original might have been? They're definitely a bit different from the norm, and also different from the red used for Geordi's earlier PADDs.
