Now that most of the more pressing projects are done and out of the way, I had enough of the materials needed to get started on this:

I cut each layer out of 1/8" thick sheet styrene, using the scribe-and-snap technique. I find it usually works pretty well for me, and saves me a bit of cutting, lol.
Don't know how far I'll be able to get with this one right now, but at least the screen and button areas will get cut out, and the panel edges will get cleaned up and rounded out.
I lightly glued the front and back panels together to make sure I get the edges and corners to match up when I trim and send them down a bit:

Once that was done, I separated the panels so I could get into the cut-outs for the buttons and clean up those edges. This is how it looks now:

So far, so good I'd say. I decided to chance it and sprayed a bit of primer on it to better show the cut-outs:

I say "decided to chance it" because I sprayed the primer indoors, down in my workshop area. Given how much it stinks, I was afraid the smell might not be gone by the time my wife got home, lol.
It did, though, so I didn't get in trouble :p
Although it might not be easily noticeable in the pics, the bottom edge of the bottom-left button cut-out isn't quite straight, the result of an over-eager trim job with the X-acto knife.
I'll have to go over that with a bit of Squadron putty to level it out, but after that it should be fine.
Since the weather (and my lack of a painting area now) won't allow me to properly primer or paint anything, there's not much more I can do with this right now other than finish cleaning up the screen and button cut-outs, and rounding out the edges and corners of the panels.
