Films that use all digital gun effects?? examples needed....

hey guys

i have a random question...does anyone know of some Hollywood movies that use all digital gun effects like muzzle flashes spent shells, ect. Ive heard some filmmakers use either prop guns or live real guns but use digital effects instead of blanks for whatever reasosn"s".the only film i know of that uses this process is hellboy 2. the reason i ask is because Im helping a buddy make some gun effects for a short film hes making for a contest because im experienced in adobe after effects and all he used were denix replicas and i wanted to see how well the big guys make their digital muzzle flashes look so good on camera
