A while ago, I obtained a fantastic blank Grail Diary from Serenity, a member here on RPF and I figured I would probably use it for my Lucasfilm work but when it arrived, I figured it HAD to be used somehow as an 'Indy' item.
As some of you already know, I am the proud owner of one of Indy Magnoli's 'Spear of Destiny' replicas and it remains one of my favourite props so much so, that I featured it in an illustrated piece I did a while back. When I originally did the painting I created a modest back story and, with that story in hand, I decided to use the new blank book as Indy's own diary (albeit based on his father's) but one that chronicled Indy's own quest to find the Spear..
Here are a few of the pages I've already completed. I aged the book further and I've drawn everything aside from the money and the tickets. Because its something completely different from the other work I do, I've had an absolute blast doing this...
